The Common Ways to Stop Hair LossProducts promising to stop hair loss have been around for as long as men have wanted to stop hair loss. (Which is to say it has been around since the stone age) Now, of course, many of these products and gimmicks that have professed to be able to provide the solution to baldness were, to put it mildly, totally and utterly ineffective. For a long time, it was “common knowledge” that there was no cure or prevention for baldness. These days, the new common knowledge is that there are a variety of ways to prevent or reverse baldness that can fit any number of budgets. Probably the most common ways one can stop hair loss is to purchase an over the counter product such as Rogaine or by investing in vitamin supplements such as Biotin and B-6. These are relatively inexpensive ways to combat hair loss although the Rogaine is far more expensive than a vitamin supplement. Although there is no guarantee that any over the counter product can cause lost hair to grow back, it is a fairly safe bet that there are a number of OTC products that can at least stop further hair loss. The most expensive way to stop hair loss does not so much stop the natural process, but rather it surgically alters the scalp so as to create a full head of hair. Hair transplant surgery is where hair is moved from one part of the head to another is probably the most popular surgical process. Another surgical process that there is great interest in is scalp reduction surgery. In this procedure, the bald part of the scalp is literally removed and then the hair thick parts of the scalp that remain are stitched together. Needless to say, some people are not in a rush to have scalp reduction performed on them, but there are those who endorse the procedure as advisable.
