Is Any Hair Loss Solution A Laughing Matter?

Hair loss is something that men have devised a number of methods to combat. Not every hair loss solution is acceptable to each individual because not everyone’s needs or comfort level with a product will be identical. Therefore, there has been a great deal of trial and error in the hair loss world. Sometimes the trial and error is employed to find a product that is legitimate and sometimes there is a great deal of trial and error embarked upon to fit the comfort level some individuals may require. (For example, for many, surgery is not an option no matter how successful it may prove to be).

The original hair loss solution was wearing a toupee and it has fallen out of vogue in recent years mainly because there are a number of options available that actually regrow hair. However, the past, an old school toupee was the order of the day and remained popular despite the fact that toupees were usually the butt of joke after joke in sitcoms and movies dating back to the 1930’s and the Three Stooges!

While some of the old toupee gags could be funny (actually some of the toupees on the market were downright hilarious even when the person wearing wasn’t even in a movie), these silly jokes at the expense of a hair loss solution that many men employed basically made baldness something that was “deserved” of being mocked. Or, more specifically, the individual who was suffering from baldness was deserved of mocking.

Mercifully, we are a bit more of a tolerant and sensitive society when a hair loss solution is employed. It is immature to make fun of someone for being bald, wearing glasses, etc and most people don’t find such humor funny anymore. Not that all bad taste humor is pilloried, but humor mocking a hair loss solution is generally not too popular.
